My New Samsung Gear S from Verizon

I just got my Samsung Gear S today and I must say the first few hours I’ve had with it has been pretty good.  I purchased the Samsung Gear S in Black at full retail from Verizon Wireless to 1) have something different on my wrist from my Motorola 360 Android Wear smartwatch 2) save a little money off my bill per month since my smartphone line access is $40/month and this watch is $5/month.  It does almost everything my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 did but for the most part it does everything.  I look forward to learning more and providing a thorough review of my experience with it. Yes I know the Gear S is not a new device, however everyone’s experience and expression is different.

Good First Impressions:

Decent build quality
Large screen for viewing
Some-what simple UI

Bad First Impressions:
Pricey!
App Store that doesnt inspire creativity
UI needs a TOTAL Complete overhaul but again its workable

Credit Cards vs. Debit Cards

It scares me in the year 2014 people don’t know the difference between a credit card and a debit card.  These and a debit card.  These two are quite different, one is attached to credit line (loan/not your money) and one is attached to your money, your actual liquid funds.

Credit Cards – the consumer has to apply for through a bank and have their credit ran to determine elegibility.

Debit Cards – the consumer applies for a checking account that holds the money and the debit card is linked to the checking account to make purchases.

A debit card can not be a credit card and vice versa.

Making a credit purchase on a debit card refers to make the transaction through the visa/master card network instead of directly to the
Bank.

So i’m a lil pressed to see that Best Buy no longer offers the Samsung Gear Fit at $99.99 i really wanted to get one.  But sadly they went off sale and back for $149.99.  I really wanted one to have for when I go to the gym.

Happy 4th of July Indeed

Today is July 4, 2014…independence day… I am working most people are off.  The worst part is I work in call center and people keeps saying “Happy 4th of July” or “Happy Independence Day”.  I’m like what the fuck ever you’re out or at home I’m stuck in the fucking job and yes I do get time and a half but shit sometimes a bitch need a break?
